 Over 50 million Americans suffer from allergies. Sometimes these allergens kill—some two thousand Americans a year die of allergy-induced anaphylactic shock. One out of nine trips to the doctor involves allergies, including one out of every five visits to a pediatrician. Americans spend over $5 billion a year to cope with allergic disease. Chemical Sensitivity is a rapidly growing problem as well. In a recent survey of the general population administered by the EPA, 33 percent of the respondents reported chemical sensitivities. It has been reported that more people every year are suffering serious health problems from increased exposure to synthetic chemicals and perfumes like those found in detergents.

 Our irreplaceable environment, especially our fresh water supply, has been pushed to the brink over the last fifty years by massive pollution, neglect and abuse. According to a number of sources, chemical detergents may be a significant contributor to increased pollution. Every rinse cycle used to purge chemicals out of the clothing and machine can waste between 25 and 42 gallons of precious fresh water in an average consumer washing machine, and hundreds of gallons in a commercial machine.  If widely implemented, the use of the EcoTech technology may save billions of gallons of fresh water every year from being wasted and eliminate an enormous volume of chemical toxins from being released into the water. This singular technology may solve some of the most serious environmental challenges we are facing in our world today.
